EDITING WITHOUT A SCRIPT

Jesper Osmund is an award-winning film editor and narrative consultant. He began his career in fiction but early on devoted himself exclusively to international documentaries inspired by the creative freedom of editing without a script.

He has now edited more than 100 documentaries, many of which have premiered at leading film festivals, including:

As a narrative consultant, he has worked on the Sundance winner A NEW KIND OF WILDERNESS, on the acclaimed NETFLIX series NISMAN: THE PROSECUTOR, THE PRESIDENT AND THE SPY, and on other award-winning films including I CALLED HIM MORGAN   •   THE RAFT   •   AMAZONA   •   BOTTLEMEN   •   NOTHING BUT THE SUN .

He has been a valued mentor for emerging filmmakers at venues such as ICE & FIRE (Estonia/Finland), DocMontevideo, EIDF Korea, IDFAcademy, and a tutor at numerous pitching workshops, including NORTH PITCH 'Below Zero', Thessaloniki IDF, DocLisboa, Baltic Forum, CoPro Israel, Norwegian Sørfond, One World Media and FDC Colombia.
